Job Description
- This position will be responsible for providing support for College of Optometry students, ranging from recruitment to graduation, as well as supporting alumni and community engagement.
- They will also respond to general enrollment questions (on the phone and in person) regarding financial aid, admissions, registration, and student accounts.
- Assist with course registration, lab schedules, non-academic problem solving, academic progress, and coordinating tutoring services.
- Communicate with potential students, review student applications, schedule and moderate interviews, process admissions paperwork and attend recruitment events.
- Manage and implement ways to engage alumni and community partners. Assist with communications and marketing for alumni programs.
- Work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan programming and create events for alumni and community partners.
- Attend local and regional alumni and community events. Work on projects and other special duties as assigned.
Shift
40 hours/week; must be able to work some evenings/weekends for student recruitment, alumni, or community events.
Salary
Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: Up to $18.77 Hourly

University Title: STUDENT SPECIALIST I
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and previous experience in student financial aid, student accounts, admissions, or closely related field preferred.
Must be willing to work some evenings/weekends for student recruitment, alumni, or community events.
