Appraiser/Inspector
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Complete appraisals as assigned
- review subject specifics
- complete inspection
- value and analyze subject properties utilizing approaches to value
- Review comparable sales data and new equipment data (specs, photos, pricing, etc.)
- Provide written appraisal reports for review
- Analysis and appropriate valuations of subject properties
- Review and understand market conditions
- Report appraisal work to supervisors for appropriate review
- Assist in valuations of complex appraisal assignments
- Logging personal time and expense for each assignment

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School diploma
- College degree desirable
- Strong computer skills – excel, word, notes, e-mail, database
- Equipment inspection skills
- Trucking industry – makes/models, descriptions, VIN’s, contacts
- Appraisal approaches and definitions – respective applications
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. For inspection of equipment, the employee must be able to open semi-tractor hoods, climb into semi-tractors, open trailer doors, climb under equipment for measurements, climb ladders of certain open top trailers and work in all weather conditions.
