Chief Development Officer

Shodair is looking to add a Chief Development Officer to our team. The Chief Development Officer provides leadership, strategic direction, and management of Montana Children's Foundation (MCF) to secure and a achieve philanthropic goals through support for programs, major gifts, campaigns, services, and capital needs at Shodair Children's Hospital (SCH).

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Can cultivate, build, and sustain partnerships with individual donors and organizations throughout Montana and beyond to foster principal gift support for a wide range of funding priorities.
• Can collaborate with marketing specialists to execute foundation social and traditional media programming.
• Can establish a plan for intentionally networking throughout the state of Montana on behalf of MCF funding initiatives
• Is willing to travel up to 50% of their time in Montana and occasionally outside of the state.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Required education and experience- Bachelor's degree in business and five years of experience leading a thriving philanthropy operation including conducting successful major and planned giving solicitations. Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge or similar database. Must have a valid driver's license. Preferred education and experience-Master degree in Business. Prior Healthcare philanthropy experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

Credentials-Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) strongly preferred.
