Northwestern University is seeking a temporaryFull-Time Senior Operations Assistantfor theEvanstoncampus.
Temporary Job Description:
This position will provide logistical support for day-to-day operations and special events at the Kellogg School of Management. They will receive loading dock deliveries and deliver materials and supplies on campus as needed. This position carries lead responsibility to monitor all loading dock and loading dock ramp activities including the back of house hallway. Manage loading dock operations. Coordinate off-loading of supplies and merchandise. Assist with Mailroom duties including in building deliveries. Monitor loading dock, loading dock ramp, and back of house hallway. Responsible for the service and scheduling of all Kellogg delivery vehicles. Assist in enforcing building policy to govern all building deliveries including tracking, documentation, and monitoring. Provide support for Facilities team by providing operational support including assisting in the following areas: mail room, front desk, PA .
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Customer service related experience preferred Hospitality/ Retail/ Restaurants
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Keyboarding and Windows environment
- PC skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
- A valid driver's license
- Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds
- Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
