We are seeking a self-starting and motivated professional with a progressively responsible consulting background in the Anchorage, Alaska market. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and distance communication skills and be ready to support industrial hygiene and/or engineering consulting projects across Alaska with our professional staff based in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau. Compensation will be based on experience and professional registration(s).

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

.

Industrial Hygiene: B.S. or M.S. in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Occupational & Environmental Health or related discipline. Registration as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or eligible to sit for those examinations. Hazard recognition, assessment and control in small business, construction, mining, oil, and general industry desired. Applicants must have expertise in one or more of the following technical skill areas: hazard analysis, exposure monitoring, development of hazard control and safety and health plans, OSHA compliance audits, indoor and/or outdoor air quality, noise evaluations/control, ergonomics, or hazardous building materials assessment and abatement.

All applicants must have 5+ years of progressively responsible technical and project management consulting experience, preferably in Alaska. Proficiency with MS Office in a Windows environment is required for effective collaboration.

Additional Requirements: State of Alaska driver's license, ADEC qualified sampler, and HAZWOPER required. Specialty certifications such as hazardous material manager, AHERA certifications, EPA/HUD lead-based paint certifications, preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities: Technical project manager responsibilities commensurate with experience, including field work, sampling, data interpretation, written and oral presentations of findings to clients and agencies. The successful candidate should anticipate working with a wide variety of A/E teams, contractors, and agencies. Occasional overnight travel within Alaska and exposure to all of the technical skill areas listed above should be expected.
