The Daily Nonpareil, a Lee Enterprises, Inc. publication in Council Bluffs, Iowa is seeking a talented action oriented Sports Reporter join our team to develop compelling, timely and well-sourced sports stories that accurately reflect the nature of the sporting events covered in Council Bluffs, Southwest Iowa and Sarpy County. The ideal candidate will be adept at telling the story of a game through writing, video, and photos for print, the website a nd multi-media digital platforms to m eet the needs of and grow our target digital audience.
Are you ready?
Do you love sports? Are you able to write stories about local sporting events t hat resonate with local readers? Are you skilled in writing, photography, videography and digital platforms including social media? Are you AP style proficient? If so, this may be the role for you! Preference will be given to candidates with a degree or prior experience in journalism or sports communication. Equivalent experience will also be considered. New graduates are welcome to apply! Reliable transportation, current driver's license, auto insurance and a satisfactory motor vehicle record is required.
