The Free Lance-Star in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is hiring a digitally savvy, competitive and collaborative managing editor to lead our talented newsgathering team.
We value strong enterprise, reporting with urgency and innovation. This hands-on editor will accomplish our core mission of creating memorable and consequential journalism that consistently grows readership and engages with our audience.
In addition to overseeing daily and long-term planning, this manager will leverage video, social media and other digital tools to deepen our storytelling and reporting on the community.
