BRISTOL HERALD COURIER IS SEEKING THE ROLE FOR A DIGITAL SALES STRATEGIST

JOB SUMMARY:

The digital specialist will work both
independently and alongside territory-based sales reps to grow digital revenue
with sales of our digital product suite. Products include Banner Advertising,
Targeted Display Advertising, E-mail Marketing, Daily Deals, SEM/SEO, Digital
Directories, Mobile Marketing and other Multi-Media Solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prospecting and developing new business, maintaining and growing our current customer base and meeting and/or exceeding revenue goals on a monthly basis.
  2. Work independently and as part of a team, scout prospects from leads in other
    publications and digital platforms and from active and/or inactive accounts.
  3. Educate clients on our digital offerings and identify new opportunities for revenue
    growth.
  4. Aggressively research, develop, and cultivate leads using a variety of online and offline sources.
  5. Meet and strive to exceed team and individual monthly sales goals.
  6. Use consultative sales skills to assess merchant goals, propose a customized solution, and obtain commitment.
  7. Manage relationships with clients and construct proposals and contracts to develop and maintain a book of business.
  8. On-site, regular and reliable attendance is required.
  9. Safely drive to and from various locations.

    MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Assists in special projects as needed.

    2. All other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum two (2) years of sales
    experience is required with a focus on digital marketing solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced,
    dynamic, high activity sales role.
  • Must have ability to work as part of a
    team in a fast paced environment with daily/weekly deadlines where
    multi-tasking is critical.
  • Demonstrates top-notch communication and presentation skills with the ability to creatively sell to all decision-making levels
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of social media such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Experience using MS Word, Power Point & Excel
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
