Under the direction of the Vice President and Dean of Students, Karen Goff, the Assistant Vice President and Dean for Intercultural Engagement will aid in the development and implementation of initiatives for students. This individual will provide leadership for the college’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. The Assistant Vice President will use anti-racist/anti-bias and culturally responsive pedagogical theory and trauma-informed practice in their work with students, families, staff, and faculty to create a strong sense of community, prioritizing the success of each student, thoughtful use of resources, engaging with curiosity, and opening doors to opportunity. This position will support the overall mission of Oberlin College and Conservatory via committee service, being an informed liaison, and actively working to create a more just and equitable environment for all members of the campus community.
