Practice Opportunity Details Include:
- Join a team of 4 Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons and 10 experienced Cardiac APN/Certified First Assists
- New grads or surgeons with 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Busy, ready-made practice with plenty of growth opportunity and early partnership track
- Candidates (except for new grads) must provide case logs from the past 2 years as a part of the application process.
- Minimum of 50 Cardiac cases in the past 2yrs
- Minimum of 50 Thoracic cases in the past 2yrs
- Open Vascular cases with documented case logs would be a plus
- TAVR experience with documented
- Robotic Thoracic cases with documented case logs
- Our Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery team features excellent support staff, including an experienced group of Advanced Practice Providers that assist with rounding, dictation, case management, and surgical first assists. CV Surgery workflow includes APPs taking first call from ICU and all units with surgeon back-up
- Must be willing to travel
- Both Full or Part-Time position available
Duties included but not limited to:
- Cardiothoracic Surgery call coverage.
- Cardiothoracic Clinic staffing
- Performing comprehensive consultation, differential diagnosis and treatment planning, admission, history and physical, discharge, work-up, and pre- and post-operative care of patients, and surgical procedures or surgical management to correct or treat various conditions, illnesses and injuries of conditions including the diseases or conditions of the chest wall, thoracic cavity, lungs, diaphragm, and peripheral vascular diseases.
- Directing overall management of patients in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
- Participation in an effective clinical program with attention to patient outcome indicators.
- Practice within the scope of assigned privileges.
- Meet medical staff criteria for initial appointment and reappointment, including ongoing CME.
