Earlham College Assistant Director of Advancement Services 1. Develop sophisticated fundraising activity plans and comprehensive giving strategies which will include key performance indicators in order to achieve maximization of funding sources and minimization of costs while managing multifaceted portfolios (individuals, foundations, corporations) of top prospects in order to ensure successful identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the objective of growing funds that are raised annually 2. Conduct all quantitative and qualitative research and financial analysis on donors and prospects to identify goals, net worth, and history of gifts while developing a customized matrix of innovative communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, phone/mail, personal visitation, volunteer engagement, and social media all focused on continuing the tradition of support and fostering relationships with current, lapsed, and prospective donors 3. Coordinate and implement an efficacious strategy for donor acknowledgement and pledge confirmation process, and confer with the Director of Advancement Services and Development Operations to develop streamline procedures and processes for proper gift recording and coding of leadership donors while evaluating, designing, and managing internal controls to safeguard donor data and ensure its integrity, and develop new data protection policies and procedures, as necessary 4. Manage multifaceted donor database and prepare multidimensional presentations using sophisticated software in order to identify key metrics such as funding priority, giving interest, geography, donor/non-donor, and other criteria as needed while drafting complex operating plans, quarterly reports, and midyear analyses for Executive-Level Administrative Faculty and Board of Trustees review A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Business, or Similar Field of Study is required (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable). Also required is 6 months of experience as a Development Aide or Advancement Specialist. The 6 months of employment experience as a Development Aide or Advancement Specialist may have been completed on either a full-time or part-time basis. This position requires only little domestic travel throughout the Midwestern United States. The place of employment is at Earlham College, 801 National Road West, Richmond, Indiana 47374.
